Dear G,
What are the cool new polishes for spring? I’m over the dark red winter shades.
Thanks,
Kelli
Hey Kelli,
It’s hard not to love spring! Warm weather, flowers, flowy dresses, salsa lessons with your significant other (OK, that’s not necessarily spring, but I’m trying to give Bill a hint). And one of my fave things about spring has to be the return to bright, bold polishes that embody the colorful season.
This year the runway has been filled with powerful pops of color on the nails. Here are a few of my must have choices for spring!
Juicy Lime – Go green with this unusual but truly addictive and gutsy color. Embrace a fun bright, adventurous lime with OPI’s Gargantuan Green Grape or China Glaze’s In the Lime Light.
Blue Moon – The sky’s the limit when it comes to blue nail polishes for spring. Nails are going navy, bright peacock, pastel, periwinkle and even fluorescent. I’m loving Nicole by OPI You’re S-teal the One and Riot by The Painted Nail.
Lovely Lilac – You’ll be pretty in purple with a feminine, soft shade of lavender that just screams spring. Two of my faves are Essie’s Nice is Nice and Sonia Kashuk‘s Violetta that is available at Target!
Get Naked – No, I am not talking about spring break wet t-shirt contests! Right now, light nude-ish shades are super hot. Try Butter London’s Hoorah Henri or Deborah Lippmann’s I’m Not Innocent. And for just a bit of pale pink, check out the creamy and soft Limo by Essie – I am ub-ssessed with it for spring.
Whichever one you try, I am sure these new polishes will put a little spring in your freshly pedicured step!
xx, G
