In light of recent events, it’s important to stand in solidarity now more than ever. On Sunday night, a gunman opened fire during a country music festival that left over 50 people dead and over 500 injured. And as it was reported the deadliest shooting in U.S. history, it’s easy for many of us to feel helpless.
Here are three ways you can stand by the victims and victims’ families after such a tragic event.
Give blood
People in Las Vegas are already lining up at various clinics to donate blood. If you’re near Las Vegas, you can stop by any of the following locations…every bit helps.

Donate money
If you’re not in the Las Vegas area, you can offer financial support to organizations helping the victims of the shooting. Some of these organizations include Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada and National Compassion Fund.
Stay active
Whether you don’t have the financial means, have personal ties with a victim, or just simply want to help, you can do so by staying active in your community and on social media. Awareness is one of the biggest ways you can prevent incidents like this from recurring, and it could also offer a lending hand to someone who might not have known they needed it.
