New moms of adopted pups can attest that their furry pal’s first couple of weeks at home are the most important. The pups need to adjust to the new environment, get a head start on potty training, and build a connection with their owner.
That’s why HarperCollins India initiated a pawternity leave for employees who decide to adopt a pet and to also encourage responsible adoption of pets. Even better, this one’s for every pet lover — whether you’re #teamdog or #teamcat.
Similar to maternity and paternity leaves, a pawternity leave will give their employees a week (or five working days) of paid time off. We think this new benefit is pretty paw-some (yeah, we had to).
