Get ready to brace yourself because a dog cafe is coming to sunny southern California. This is not a drill. We repeat, this is not a drill.
With the recent openings of cat cafes in the U.S., a dog cafe was bound to open sooner or later…And our wish has come true!
The Dog Cafe will open its doors to all puppy lovers on April 7 in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Ten dollars will give you admission into the cafe in addition to one good cup o’ joe (from Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co.).
And the cherry on top? All of the dogs at the cafe will be available for adoption. Sarah Wolfgang, founder of The Dog Cafe, hopes to find homes for at least 104 dogs within the first year of opening. Her hope is that the cafe “will reinvent the way people view adopting dogs.” How awesome is that?!
When you’re making plans to visit The Dog Cafe, be sure to make a reservation. If you can’t wait until April 7, feel free to visit during their soft opening hours on a first come, first serve basis.
