Heading to the Hamptons for a long weekend is a great way to escape the hot New York City summers. It’s also a summer playground for the rich and famous. In case you’re wondering where this year’s hottest spots are, we’ve got you covered. Our pocket guide includes a Gwyneth Paltrow-approved spa, a hidden gem for innovative cocktails, and much more.
Wölffer Estate Wine Stand
There’s no better way to wind down (wine down in this case!) than by hitting up Wölffer Estate’s Wine Stand. Each Friday and Saturday through October, the winery puts on an evening filled with live music, small bites, sunsets, and of course, amazing wine. Grab a bottle of their wildly popular Summer in a Bottle Rosé or a 4-pack of their No. 139 Dry Rosé Cider, a cheese plate, and enjoy the picturesque setting.
Tracy Anderson Studio
There’s plenty to indulge in while exploring in the Hamptons, which is where Tracy Anderson comes into the picture. With a studio in East Hampton and Water Mill, you can get your workout on seven days a week. Keep in mind that she’s known for whipping Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, and Jennifer Lopez into insane shape, so expect nothing short of a major sweat session (in the best way possible!).
Naturopathica
Naturopathica is a top wellness spa in East Hampton that has been turning heads since opening in 1995. The spa itself is serene and the treatments are all natural and results oriented, so you can’t really go wrong. However, we love the Signature Natural Face Lift Facial that uses new Bio-Energy products and Lemongrass Mimosa Body Scrub (it’s pretty much like a cocktail for the body!). The best part? You can purchase all of the products used during your treatment — and even indulge in their Vitality Bar filled with healing herbal tinctures, tonics, and teas. It’s Gwyneth Paltrow-approved, and now FabFitFun-approved too.
The Regent Cocktail Club
Saturday evenings at The Regent Cocktail Club at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is the place to be. Choose from the indoor lounge or outdoor deck (equipped with top DJ’s spinning) and enjoy craft cocktails at sunset. Our current favorite concoction is Summer Fling, an Italian-inspired sip with Aperol. (Image courtesy of @jasek)
Bay Kitchen Bar
This is one of our new favorite spots, and for many different reasons. We’ll start with the fact that it’s a hidden gem in East Hampton with unreal views. Secondly, the cocktail list is one of the most innovative we’ve ever seen. The Horchata Colada, for instance, is crafted with house-made horchata and served in a brass pineapple with crushed ice.
