While the 2017 Golden Globes gave us plenty of awkward moments (missed high fives, bad spray tans, teleprompter malfunctions, and of course, the tri-hug seen around the world), the award show also gave us some epic fashion moments.
From pretty prints to shining silhouettes, and a power suit that would make any gal feel like a total #ladyboss, here are our five favorite looks from the night.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Skin tight done just right! This look on Black-ish actress, Tracee Ellis Ross is sophisticated, sexy, and stunning. Of course, we would expect nothing less from the daughter of Diana Ross, who also took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy.
Mandy Moore
Forget Wonder Woman! Mandy Moore had a walk to remember in a beautiful caped Naeem Khan creation with a plunging neckline. Paired with a blue velvet clutch, simple jewels, and dramatic lashes, the This is Us star had us wishing this look was ours.
Olivia Culpo
Talk about prints(ess) charming! We can’t take our eyes off of Olivia’s ball gown that looks like something out of a Spanish art exhibit. The Zuhair Murad dress was complemented by a beautifully plaited hairstyle that Olivia dreamt up herself.
Evan Rachel Wood
Swimming in a sea of gowns, Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood made a statement in an sharp Altazurra pantsuit that we’re loving. (We need those flared pants like now.) She explained to USA Today that while she loves wearing dresses, she “decided early in the year not to wear any dresses to awards shows to be a gentle reminder to young girls and women that you’re not required one if you don’t want to, to really be yourself and that your worth is more than the dresses that you wear.”
Emma Stone
We’re starry-eyed over Emma Stone’s Valentino gown. And while the La La Land actress may have had the most uncomfortable moment of the Globes (it’s OK Emma, we’ve all gone in for a hug not intended for us once), there’s nothing awkward about this stunning look, which she paired with a diamond collar necklace.
