Which is why we’re kind of obsessed with FOX’s newest series,\u00a0STAR<\/a>. The show is created\u00a0by Lee Daniels (think\u00a0Empire<\/em>, the Butler,<\/em>\u00a0and Precious<\/em>) and follows the journey of three singers who work tirelessly to make it to the top.<\/p>\n

So it goes like this: Star (Jude Demorest) grew up in the foster care system, and one day, decides to take control of her destiny and make her dreams of stardom come true. Along with her sister, Simone (Brittany O’Grady), and Instagram bestie, Alexandra (Ryan Destiny), they journey to Atlanta and begin to navigate the cut-throat music industry. However, they quickly come to realize that it’s not as easy as it seems — and they learn that ambition comes at a cost.<\/p>\n

The series\u00a0will also feature Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt and guest stars Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, and Tyrese Gibson.<\/p>\n
