Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em> is halfway over, and we’re completely torn.<\/p>\n

The final episodes of the show were everything we wanted them to be and more. So grab a cup (or several cups) of coffee and read through the highlights of the final episodes.<\/p>\n

The Stars Hallow Musical is\u2026interesting<\/strong>. As much as we loved the Sutton Foster cameo, not even she could save the show from cheesy dance moves and a confusing plot.<\/p>\n

April doesn’t know who she is. <\/strong>She might\u00a0go to MIT, but she\u00a0put up a pretty good hippie act. She even had\u00a0a nose ring. Turns out, it was just an act, and she confessed\u00a0to Rory that she had\u00a0no idea who she was\u00a0or who she wanted to be.<\/p>\n

Michele is leaving the Dragonfly Inn. <\/strong>Now that he was\u00a0married, he needed\u00a0more money for a life with kids. He also wanted\u00a0more responsibility. Lorelei couldn’t\u00a0give him either. There was no way to expand the Dragonfly, and she was already overpaying him.<\/p>\n

Emily Gilmore is not herself. <\/strong>Sleeping until noon, putting a TV in the sitting room, and acting up at DAR events are all things that the new Emily did\u00a0that the old Emily would have hated. Her grief had\u00a0reached a new level. Her solution? She moved\u00a0to Nantucket and started work\u00a0at the Whaling Museum.<\/p>\n

The Stars Hallow Gazette needs a new editor, and Rory volunteers for the job. <\/strong>Outraged that the Gazette was closing down, Rory wanted to save the paper. Although it was an unpaid job, Rory asked\u00a0Taylor for the editor position. That meant\u00a0she was officially back in Stars Hollow.<\/p>\n

Jess still knows how to put Rory back on track.<\/strong> Her job at the Gazette was not as fulfilling as she had hoped, but Rory was revived with a visit from Jess. Once again, he showed\u00a0her the way and suggested\u00a0her towrite a book — but not just any book, rather a book about her life and how far she and Lorelei had\u00a0come. Though Rory loved this idea, Lorelei said\u00a0she didn’t\u00a0want Rory to write it.<\/p>\n

Lorelai is going hiking\u2026.by herself. <\/strong>We thought it was weird, too. After her fight with Rory and relationship issues with Luke, Lorelei decided\u00a0she needed some time to herself. She was going to do Wild —<\/em>\u00a0the book, not the movie. She misplaced her permit, so she couldn’t\u00a0go hiking immediately. Instead, she took\u00a0a detour and found\u00a0a scenic vista of rolling green hills. And everything became\u00a0clear. She knew\u00a0how to fix her relationship with Luke, the fight with Rory, and how to expand the Dragonfly.<\/p>\n

The Life And Death Brigade is still going on crazy escapades. <\/strong>Still upset over her fight with Lorelei, Rory called\u00a0Logan. Then, she realized she always called\u00a0him when she\u2019s down, and needed\u00a0to stop. Then they broke\u00a0up, but Logan rallied\u00a0Colin, Finn, and Robert for one last farewell hurrah. Afterwards, Rory and Logan broke\u00a0up for good. Logan offered\u00a0Rory a house so she could write her book, but Rory refused because she already knew\u00a0the perfect place: Richard\u2019s study.<\/p>\n

Sookie is back! <\/strong>She came back and made\u00a0at least a dozen different wedding cakes for Lorelai. Sookie was still a bit kooky, a total genius when it came\u00a0to cooking, and the best friend anyone could ask for.<\/p>\n

Lorelai and Luke finally tie the knot. <\/strong>Even though there was a ceremony planned for the next day, they decided to get married the night before instead. So in the middle of the night, Luke and Lorelai said\u00a0their vows surrounded by only their closest friends and family. And it was perfect.<\/p>\n

Kirk actually does something right. <\/strong>He stumbled into Lorelai\u2019s house and screamed\u00a0that he messed up the wedding because he got an idea and did the total opposite of what Lorelai had told him to do. Luke didn’t\u00a0want to tell Lorelai just yet, but when they went\u00a0to the center of town in the middle of the night to get married, they found\u00a0that Kirk had beautifully and perfectly decorated the town square.<\/p>\n

We finally hear those last four words.<\/strong> And, oh man, were\u00a0they a doozy. The words were shared by Lorelai and Rory, of course, but they might\u00a0not be what you were expecting. The meaning of these words? Major spoiler alert — Rory is pregnant.<\/p>\n
