\"Stanley<\/a>The Stanley Hotel
\n<\/a><\/strong>Stephen King put The Stanley Hotel on the map when it became his inspiration for the Overlook hotel in best-selling book\u00a0The Shining<\/em>. \u00a0In addition to paranormal activity (we joke, maybe….), it’s also situated in the stunning Rocky Mountains in Estes Park, Colorado, making it a picture perfect fall escape. If you’re feeling up for it, you can even partake in a ghost tour at night<\/a>. Did someone say “redrum?”<\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/strong>The Washington School House Hotel in Park City, Utah, is one of our favorite boutique hotels stateside. But it also happens to be an old school house from the 1880’s (named after George Washington). Past guests have claimed to hear children running around at night — when in fact, no children were present. Eerie! But thanks to plush linens and the most comfortable beds ever, you’ll have no trouble snoozing.<\/p>\n

\"Fairmont<\/a>Fairmont Banff Springs
\n<\/a><\/strong>Coined Canada’s “Castle in the Rockies,” visitors can’t get enough of the Fairmont Banff Springs situated inside Banff National Park. And between Sam the bellman who passed in 1975 and the doomed bride who fell to her death on her wedding day at the hotel, there are plenty of Halloween haunts to partake in. \n<\/strong><\/a>This is one legendary hotel you don’t want to miss when visiting Austin, Texas. It was built in 1886 by\u00a0Civil War Colonel Jesse Driskill who died in 1890 and is said to haunt the hotel. \u00a0Need more? Two brides — different occasions — committed suicide\u00a0on their honeymoons and can be found lurking around from time to time. Guests frequently report cigar smoke smells and flickering lights, too. To give you an idea of just how haunted it is, it’s part of a walking ghost tour<\/a>. Sweet dreams!<\/p>\n

\"Ahwahnee\"<\/a>The Majestic Yosemite Hotel
\n<\/a><\/strong>Guests on Tauck’s California Gold Coast tour<\/a>\u00a0get the luxury of spending two nights in Yosemite National Park at The Majestic Yosemite Hotel (originally called the Ahwahnee). But apparently, some guests have never checked out and still roam the hotel.\u00a0Tauck’s Director Cindy Walker can attest and refuses to stay on the sixth floor after experiencing strange activity. Apparently, it’s the ghost Mary Curry Tressider (who lived in an apartment on that same floor until her death in 1970) that spooks guests.<\/p>\n
