Apple is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techradar.com\/us\/news\/phone-and-communications\/mobile-phones\/ios-10-will-include-more-diverse-emoji-following-google-s-lead-1325825?utm_content=buffer7d9b0&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=facebook&amp;utm_campaign=buffer-trfb\" target=\"_blank\">adding 100 new and redesigned emojis<\/a>,\u00a0including a bunch that\u00a0reflect\u00a0gender equality.<\/p>\n<p>Google\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techradar.com\/us\/news\/phone-and-communications\/mobile-phones\/meet-the-more-diverse-emoji-coming-to-your-phone-1324902\" target=\"_blank\">issued a proposal back in May to the Unicode Consortium<\/a>\u00a0(the organization in charge of adding new emojis) to add\u00a013 new emojis which would better represent men and women in all types of professions, regardless of gender stereotypes.\u00a0They\u00a0approved 11 emojis including a mechanic, rockstar, and professor which will be available as both genders and in all skin tones.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static-blog.fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/02102304\/gender-650-80.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\" size-full wp-image-85574 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/static-blog.fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/02102304\/gender-650-80.gif\" alt=\"gender-650-80\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apple took note and worked with the Unicode Consortium to create new emojis! In addition to more gender equality emojis, there will also be a rainbow flag, single-parent family, and green water gun.
