I definitely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theskinnyconfidential.com\/2016\/02\/03\/another-kind-of-sort-of-wedding-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lagged on most of the wedding planning<\/a>, but I\u2019m kicking it into gear now!<\/p>\n<p>Are any other soon-to-be-brides out there feeling the pressure?\u00a0There is one thing on every soon-to-be wife\u2019s to-do\u00a0list though, the one thing that is <em>literally<\/em>\u00a0a pain in the ass\u2026\u00a0getting in <em>better shape<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>And people wonder why women get so panicked over their weddings. We\u2019ve got a lot on our plates!\u00a0Really though, you have to plan your wedding &#8212; which is already pretty stressful &#8212; <em>plus<\/em>\u00a0get in the best shape of your life? <em>Great<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Our wedding is <em>fast<\/em>\u00a0approaching. So I\u2019m kicking my health and fitness into serious overdrive. I\u2019ve been working out with a trainer as well as eating lean and clean\u2026 <em>big time<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Since we\u2019re at the peak of wedding season, I figured I\u2019d share some tips for all the brides out there getting in tip top shape before their wedding day.\u00a0Not getting married and just looking to lean out? These tips are great for you too!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weight Training\u00a0Is Essential<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you want to lean out and tone up, you\u2019re going to have to shock your body. Weights build muscle, and muscle burns fat. It doesn\u2019t have to be huge heavy weights. Just remember, the lighter the weights, the more reps you should be doing. The heavier the weights, the less reps you need. Weight training can even include plyometrics. First of all, your skin will look more hydrated and\u00a0dewy. Drinking more water also helps with portion control, reduces water retention ( aka\u00a0bloating ), <em>and<\/em>\u00a0did you know that people often mistake hunger for thirst? Sometimes your body is just a little dehydrated and you think you\u2019re hungry but you\u2019re not! You\u2019re just thirsty. So drink up! Shoot for 50-80 ounces of water per day. Make sure you&#8217;re using a good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theskinnyconfidential.com\/2016\/06\/29\/spicy-bring-office-spa-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BPA-free water bottle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t Skip out on Cardio<\/strong><br \/>\nCardio will help you burn off that little extra layer of fat you\u2019ve been working on. You know, those little areas that no amount of weights or crunches can seem to kick. Think of cardio like the little helper that allows all of your hard work in the gym to finally shine through. Shoot for an average of 30 minutes 6 times per week. You can do an hour on three days if you want.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/meal-plan-8-by-the-skinny-confidential-gt.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" itemprop=\"image\" class=\" size-full wp-image-83886 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/meal-plan-8-by-the-skinny-confidential-gt.gif\" alt=\"meal-plan-8-by-the-skinny-confidential-gt\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Up Your Intake of Lean Protein and Healthy Fats<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Fat<\/em>\u00a0should not be avoided when you\u2019re trying to lean out, as long as it\u2019s healthy fat. Your body needs it for fuel and brain power. Upping your protein and healthy fats will keep you feeling full and energized so you can power through your day and workouts leading up to your wedding.
