{"id":83461,"date":"2016-07-05T12:45:30","date_gmt":"2016-07-05T19:45:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/?p=83461"},"modified":"2016-07-05T12:45:30","modified_gmt":"2016-07-05T19:45:30","slug":"starbucks-raise-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/starbucks-raise-prices\/","title":{"rendered":"Brace Yourselves&#8230;Starbucks Is Raising Prices Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brace yourselves, coffee lovers.<\/p>\n<p>As if <a href=\"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/heres-how-to-order-all-the-colorful-drinks-at-starbucks\/\" target=\"_blank\">Starbucks<\/a>\u00a0wasn&#8217;t\u00a0expensive enough, it is\u00a0going\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eater.com\/2016\/7\/3\/12090602\/starbucks-raising-prices\" target=\"_blank\">to raise prices<\/a>\u00a0on July 12.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee chain didn&#8217;t actually plan to announce the change this soon, but the price increase\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.starbucks.com\/news\/starbucks-statement-on-system-error\" target=\"_blank\">was prematurely\u00a0adjusted into the system<\/a>\u00a0which\u00a0incorrectly charged customers &#8212; thus, forcing Starbucks to do some explaining.<\/p>\n<p>As part of their planned annual price hike, select beverages (we don&#8217;t know which ones yet) will go up\u00a0by 30 cents.\u00a0Last year&#8217;s increase\u00a0was around 5 to 20 cents. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eater.com\/2016\/7\/3\/12090602\/starbucks-raising-prices\" target=\"_blank\">Eater<\/a>, &#8220;the price of a large coffee landed at $2.45, up 10 cents from 2013&#8217;s price of $2.35.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What are your thoughts on the price hike?
