{"id":82507,"date":"2016-06-21T11:18:11","date_gmt":"2016-06-21T18:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/?p=82507"},"modified":"2016-06-21T11:18:11","modified_gmt":"2016-06-21T18:18:11","slug":"starbucks-lawsuit-under-filling-drinks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/starbucks-lawsuit-under-filling-drinks\/","title":{"rendered":"Starbucks May Be Getting Sued for Under Filling Drinks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you ever thought <a href=\"https:\/\/fabfitfun.com\/magazine\/starbucks-emojis\/\">Starbucks<\/a> was cheating\u00a0you by not filling your drink to the brim, you aren&#8217;t the only one.<\/p>\n<p>Starbucks customers Siera Strumlauf and Benjamin Robles from California <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-starbucks-lawsuit-lattes-idUSKCN0Z61RZ\" target=\"_blank\">recently filed a lawsuit<\/a> against the coffee chain stating that they\u00a0were being unfair to\u00a0patrons by under filling their drinks.\u00a0U.S.\u00a0District Judge Thelton Henderson of San Francisco <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-starbucks-lawsuit-lattes-idUSKCN0Z61RZ\" target=\"_blank\">said the two plaintiffs can move forward<\/a> with their lawsuit and are able\u00a0to\u00a0seek damages from Starbucks for fraud and false advertising.<\/p>\n<p>Strumlauf and Robles stated\u00a0that &#8220;the pitchers baristas use for heating milk have \u201cfill to\u201d lines that are too low.&#8221; Additionally, they said that drinks have 1\/4 inch of free space and is essentially cheating the customer of their coffee because their tall, grande, and venti drinks hold exactly 12, 16, and 20 ounces.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the lawsuit, <a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/4375170\/starbucks-underfill-lattes\/?xid=IFT-Section\" target=\"_blank\">Starbucks spokesman Reggie Borges believes<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;the lawsuit is without merit&#8221; and also noted\u00a0that if a customer is not satisfied with their beverage they &#8220;will gladly remake it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the lawsuit?
