The stigma of a female working in the tech field has gone way too far as some have noted that females are &#8220;too emotional&#8221; or &#8220;not smart enough&#8221; to succeed in\u00a0these types of industries.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"http:\/\/girlswhocode.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Girls Who\u00a0Code<\/a> is challenging these stigmas and working to shut down ridiculous stereotypes.<\/p>\n<p>The non-profit group recently\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2016\/05\/19\/girls-who-code-video-series\/#WsOUPLxNDSqT\" target=\"_blank\">released a three-part video<\/a>\u00a0entitled\u00a0<em>Girls Do Code\u00a0<\/em>which focuses on three main topics that apparently keep girls from becoming successful coders &#8212;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yAVQpJNybys\" target=\"_blank\">boobs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rZ8qzx2NAbg\" target=\"_blank\">beauty<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MwiPGQfCvyo\" target=\"_blank\">menstruation<\/a>. \u00a0Ridiculous, right? Prepare yourself for some sassy satire\u00a0which\u00a0addresses <em>real<\/em>\u00a0issues concerning women today.<\/p>\n<p>Girls Who Code hopes this satirical campaign will shed a different perspective\u00a0on the gender gap in the tech industry.\u00a0Reshma Saujani, founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2016\/05\/19\/girls-who-code-video-series\/#WsOUPLxNDSqT\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>, &#8220;our hope is these videos will spark a much-needed conversation about the messages we send our young women, and what we can do to create a more inclusive, well-rounded image of a programmer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a world where women are encouraged to\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0surpass gender norms, groups like Girls Who Code are confronting these issues straight on and we fully support it.<\/p>\n<p>What are your thoughts on the video series?
