In addition to the recent release of <em>The Jungle Book<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>(it&#8217;s made more than <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Entertainment\/jungle-book-stays-top-box-office\/story?id=38649968\" target=\"_blank\">$191 million in domestic ticket sales<\/a>), Disney announced <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/759765\/disney-announces-9-new-live-action-movies-with-angelina-jolie-emma-stone-reese-witherspoon-and-emily-blunt-set-to-star\" target=\"_blank\">nine new live-action movies<\/a> with stellar casts to boot. Um, heck yes!<\/p>\n<p>Potential movies in the works include:<\/p>\n<p><em>Cruella <\/em>with\u00a0Emma Stone<br \/>\n<em>Malificent 2 <\/em>with\u00a0Angelina Jolie<br \/>\n<em>Dumbo\u00a0<\/em>to be written by Tim Burton<br \/>\n<i>Jungle Cruise\u00a0<\/i>with\u00a0Dwayne &#8220;The Rock&#8221; Johnson<br \/>\n<em>Mary Poppins<\/em> sequel with\u00a0Emily Blunt<br \/>\n<em>The Nutcracker and the Four Realms<\/em> to be directed by Lasse Hallstr\u00f6m<br \/>\n<em>A Wrinkle in Time<\/em> to be written by Linda Woolverton<br \/>\n<em>The Jungle Book 2\u00a0<\/em>to be directed by Jon Favreau<br \/>\n&#8230; and lastly, a Tinker Bell project with\u00a0Reese Witherspoon<\/p>\n<p>Some of the films will be announced with release dates in the coming months and\u00a0other films may not even happen &#8212; regardless, we&#8217;re ecstatic\u00a0that Disney is continuing to churn out remakes of our fave fairytales.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget that\u00a0<em>Alice Through the Looking Glass<\/em> is set to be in theaters on May 27, 2016 and\u00a0<em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> will be in theaters on March 17, 2017.
