The U.S. Treasury Department will\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2016\/04\/treasurys-lew-to-announce-hamilton-to-stay-on-10-bill-222204\" target=\"_blank\">announce<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday that\u00a0Andrew Jackson will be replaced with Harriet Tubman on the front of the $20 bill.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury Secretary Jack Lew\u00a0also shared a couple other changes which includes putting leaders of the women&#8217;s suffrage movement on the back of the $10 bill and adding leaders of the civil rights era and other crucial moments in American history onto the $5 bill.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Lew <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/harriet-tubman-20-bill_us_5717a6f5e4b0060ccda50d8b\" target=\"_blank\">stated<\/a>\u00a0that Andrew Hamilton would potentially be replaced on the $10 bill with Susan B. Anthony &#8212; but he received backlash from many (including a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/harriet-tubman-20-bill_us_5717a6f5e4b0060ccda50d8b\" target=\"_blank\">Broadway musical<\/a>) as Hamilton was a crucial part of the creation of the Treasury Department and the American financial system.<\/p>\n<p>The designs for the bills should be ready by 2020 (and hopefully issued to the public by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2016\/04\/16\/news\/economy\/jack-lew-hamilton-10-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\">2030<\/a>), so don&#8217;t expect new\u00a0cash in your wallet anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>What are your thoughts on this change?
