In celebration of Black History Month, we\u2019re taking a look at the Black community\u2019s contribution<\/a> to the wellness world \u2014 and there\u2019s a lot of incredible brands to get to know! They may be under-the-radar for now, but we have a feeling that won\u2019t last much longer.<\/p>\n

As Naj Austin, the founder of Ethel\u2019s Club<\/a>, a social and wellness club for people of color, told Self<\/em><\/a> in 2020, \u201cI don\u2019t think marginalized communities are given the appropriate and intentional space to fully heal often enough.\u201d She continued, \u201cI have always craved and sought out spaces and communities that made me feel safe and fully comfortable in all facets of my identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thankfully, people like Austin and many others have set out to create this authenticity throughout the wellness world. From marketplaces that only sell non-toxic products by Black artisans to new CBD goodies,<\/a> there are a variety of companies founded by Black entrepreneurs that promote self-care.<\/p>\n
