Here are a few ways to support small businesses that don\u2019t even require leaving your home.<\/p>\n

Shop on small businesses\u2019 websites<\/strong>
\nMany businesses have closed their storefronts, but certain stores have kept their online shops running.\u00a0\u201cEven restaurants might sell their best sauce, cookbooks, or T-shirts,\u201d says business consultant Shel Horowitz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Express support on social media pages<\/strong>
\nAnother way to support businesses from a distance is to post about your positive experiences with them on social media, or even leave a review on their Facebook or Yelp page, says Horowitz. You can also use hashtags like #smallbizstrong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Create a Facebook group<\/strong>
\nKaylin R. Staten, owner and CEO of Hourglass Media<\/a>, suggests creating a group dedicated to your local community where you can share information about local businesses\u2019 offerings, like takeout and delivery options and online product sales.<\/p>\n

Set up online appointments<\/strong>
\nIf you can\u2019t make appointments you\u2019d normally go to in person, see if you can move them online rather than canceling altogether. \u201cSocial distancing is essential for everyone right now, but that doesn’t mean we have to give up connection. It’s equally as important,\u201d says\u00a0Lindsay Teague Moreno<\/span><\/a>, author of <\/span>Boss Up!<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n

Order supplies for projects you\u2019ve been wanting to complete<\/strong>
\nIf you\u2019ve been meaning to redecorate your apartment, create a photo album, organize your things, or undergo another home project, now is the time to do it, says Moreno \u2014 and ordering supplies from local businesses is the perfect time to support them.<\/p>\n
