\nIt\u2019s no surprise that switching industries is going to be difficult, but rest assured that it does get easier. Jain says, \u201cThe unknown is always scary, but if it\u2019s something you\u2019re passionate and excited about, don\u2019t let that fear prevent you from taking a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAfter you\u2019ve decided to change careers, it\u2019s time to put together a game plan. You\u2019re likely going to have questions about the industry you\u2019re venturing into, so Yacobovsky advises, \u201cWrite [your questions] down and think through who exists in your network that can help educate you on that industry and opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLet\u2019s be real \u2014 you\u2019re going to be overwhelmed with all the new information and tasks you need to accomplish. Instead of trying to do everything at once, Yacobovsky says, \u201cTry
\nto break things down into small, digestible pieces, so getting through everything feels manageable.\u201d Give yourself \u201ccheckpoints along the way to make sure you\u2019re on the right track.\u201d<\/p>\n
