And with the rise of social media, there&#8217;s an even heavier focus on it with people posting about their new diet plan, workout trends, or &#8220;before&#8221; and &#8220;after&#8221; photos.<\/p>\n<p>While everyone deserves to be happy in their own bodies, we as a society really need to stop commenting on someone&#8217;s weight \u2013 weight loss included. You might think <a href=\"https:\/\/www.self.com\/story\/we-really-need-to-stop-complimenting-people-on-weight-loss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commenting<\/a> on your friend&#8217;s weight loss is a compliment, but it can also imply that their weight before wasn&#8217;t compliment-worthy or that that they needed to lose weight in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, everyone&#8217;s weight loss journey is unique. From medical reasons and eating disorders to body dysmorphia and underlying reasons behind someone&#8217;s weight loss journey, there&#8217;s really no telling what someone went through to shed those pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, weight loss can be intentional and people might want recognition for it, but at the end of the day, unless you know the whole story behind someone&#8217;s mental and physical journey, it&#8217;s not in anyone&#8217;s place to comment on someone&#8217;s body.<\/p>\n<p>xx, The FabFitFun Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":"The topic of \"weight\" has always been a huge part of our society.
