There are so many all-natural ingredients that naturally improve skin from the outside in. Best of all? Most of them are probably in your pantry right now.

Here are six topical skin care ideas.

Honey
Fun fact: Cleopatra reputedly took milk and honey baths to keep her complexion looking young. While you don’t need to fill your tub with honey to reap all the benefits, try incorporating it into your weekly skin care regime by mixing a tablespoon of honey with half a teaspoon of turmeric to create a paste. Leave it on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes then remove it with a warm washcloth.

Almonds
Your favorite post-workout snack is also your skin’s BFF. The natural oils in almonds are extra nourishing for dry skin. Mix together one cup of ground almonds, one to three teaspoons of oil, one to two teaspoons of witch hazel, and a drop of essential oil (optional).

Oatmeal
There’s a reason the American Association of Dermatology recommends taking oatmeal baths to treat eczema as it helps normalize skin’s pH levels. The next time you draw a bath, pour a cup of plain oatmeal and a few drops of lavender essential oil.

Apple cider vinegar
If you don’t have any aloe vera on hand, reach for ACV instead — the tart vinegar prevents blistering and balances pH levels. Dip a washcloth in a mixture of half a cup of vinegar and four cups of water, then apply to sunburned areas.

Coconut oil
The ultra-moisturizing benefits of coconut oil is a panacea for various skin issues. Keep a jar of coconut oil by the kitchen sink to prevent hands from getting dried out by the dish soap or in the shower to use as a slick shaving cream. But be careful with how much you rinse off in the shower or sink because it can clog drains!

Sea salt
While Epsom salt takes the cake on soothing sore muscles, sea salt is great for improving skin integrity. Pour two heaping tablespoons into a bath, add essential oils for optional aromatherapy, and soak up the detoxifying goodness for 15 to 20 minutes.

xx, The FabFitFun Team

[6,268

https://static.fabfitfun.com/magazine/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/18115036/juan-jose-valencia-antia-16138-unsplash.jpg
https://static.fabfitfun.com/magazine/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/18115036/juan-jose-valencia-antia-16138-unsplash-386x200.jpg
