What are day creams?<\/strong>
\nDay creams are generally multitasking products that moisturize skin, wear well under makeup, and sometimes contain SPF. Since you’re more exposed to the sun during the day, day creams also tend to exclude active ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, or alpha hydroxy acids, which can all irritate the skin when exposed to the sun.<\/p>\n

What are night creams?<\/strong>
\nNight creams typically have a heavier texture to deeply moisturize skin while you sleep. Your skin repairs itself the most at night, so night creams often feature active ingredients like acids and retinol to promote skin cell turnover.<\/p>\n

Can I use day creams at night and vice versa?<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s nothing wrong with using a night cream during the day and vice versa. The biggest difference you may notice is some sensitivity to the sun or a heavy and greasy feeling when using a night cream during the day. But if you\u2019re going through a particularly dry spell with your skin, it might help to apply your night cream during the day, too.<\/p>\n
