We’ll always have a soft spot for anything\u00a0millennial pink<\/a>\u00a0(who wouldn’t?!), but we’re ready to retire the shade in the new year.<\/p>\n

While some have dubbed Gen Z Yellow<\/a>\u00a0as the next “it” color, Pantone says otherwise as the “color authorities” just\u00a0announced the 2018\u00a0color of the year<\/a>\u00a0— and it’s none other than ultra violet.<\/p>\n

When asked why Pantone chose this shade, Laurie Pressman, the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, said, “We wanted to pick something that brings hope and an uplifting message.”<\/p>\n
