Her CEO, Ben Congleton, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/2017\/07\/162827\/mental-health-day-ceo-response\" target=\"_blank\">responded to the email<\/a> &#8212; and his response quickly went viral after she tweeted screenshots of their email thread.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">When the CEO responds to your out of the office email about taking sick leave for mental health and reaffirms your decision. ? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6BvJVCJJFq\">pic.twitter.com\/6BvJVCJJFq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 madalyn (@madalynrose) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/madalynrose\/status\/880886024725024769\">June 30, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In his email, Congleton thanked Parker for challenging the stigma of mental health in the workplace and for reminding him how important it is to take care of one&#8217;s health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>Since the tweet went viral, Congleton issued his own statement and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@OlarkLiveChat\/its-2017-and-mental-health-is-still-an-issue-in-the-workplace-61efbef092f\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>, &#8220;It&#8217;s 2017. Our jobs require us to execute at peak mental performance. When an athlete is injured, they sit on the bench and recover.
