While the\u00a0Israeli native, Gal Gadot, fits the character\u2019s bill perfectly, there’s a whole lot more to her than meets the eye. Here’s everything you need to know about\u00a0this\u00a0rising star!<\/p>\n

1. She’s a mom.<\/strong>
\nWhen she\u2019s not busy kicking butt and saving the world, Gadot is a mom to two little girls \u2014 Alma, whom she and her husband welcomed in 2011, and Maya, born just a few months ago. If only we could say, “My mom is Wonder Woman!”<\/p>\n

2. She’s been married for nearly a decade.<\/strong>
\nGadot married fellow Israeli and real estate developer, Yaron Versano, in 2008. With her statuesque physique and heart-capturing smile, it\u2019s no wonder she was taken off the market a long time ago.<\/p>\n

3. She won Miss Israel.<\/strong>
\nYou probably\u00a0didn\u2019t know that Wonder Woman was a former pageant queen. That\u2019s right — in 2004 she was crowned Miss Israel and even went on to compete for the title of Miss Universe. Though she didn\u2019t win Miss Universe, the world definitely knows her name now!<\/p>\n

4. She started off as a model.<\/strong>
\nLike many others in Hollywood, Gadot is a model-turned-actress. She has served as the main model for Israeli clothing company, Castro, since 2008, and has since spearheaded campaigns for brands such as Miss Sixty and Gucci.<\/p>\n

5. She served in the army.<\/strong>
\nAs is required of all Israeli citizens, Gadot served in the Israeli Defense Force for two years from the age of 18 until the age of 20. It’s no wonder those kickass moves came so naturally to her as Wonder Woman.<\/p>\n

6. She was pregnant when she filmed Wonder Woman.<\/strong>
\nYes, you read that correctly. Gadot was five months pregnant with her second child while filming her physically demanding role as Wonder Woman. We don’t know how she filmed an action movie while being pregnant, but talk about a real life superhero!<\/p>\n

7. She made her big screen debut with The Fast and Furious<\/em> franchise.<\/strong>
\nHer role as Gisele, the sultry weapons expert in the fourth Fast and Furious<\/em> movie was definitely her breakout role. She later returned for Fast Five<\/em> and Fast and Furious 6<\/em>.<\/p>\n
