Guess what? Instagram just got a major upgrade<\/a>…and\u00a0you might\u00a0recognize a few of them.<\/p>\n

Instagram introduced four new features: face filters, hashtag stickers, an eraser brush, and a rewind feature. Do some of them sound familiar? Well, the update just might\u00a0convince even die-hard Snapchatters to give Instagram Stories a try.<\/p>\n

Here’s everything you need to know about Instagram’s latest updates<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>Face Filters
\n<\/strong>Reminiscent of the beloved Snapchat filters, Instagram’s face filters are used pretty much the same way. Simply tap on the screen for the app to recognize your face, and click the smiley face to see all of the filters at the bottom of the screen. You can then choose to upload them onto your Insta Story or direct message. The best part? The face filters are compatible with Boomerangs! As of now, there are eight face filters, including koala ears, a gold crown, and nerd glasses (just to name a few), but we can expect them to add more in the near future.<\/p>\n

\n

\"Screen<\/a>Hashtag Stickers
\n<\/strong>All hashtag lovers are in luck\u00a0because there’s a new hashtag in town. Similar to the location sticker and the account tagging feature, the hashtag sticker allows you to paste your favorite hashtags straight onto\u00a0Insta Stories. Once uploaded, you can tap the hashtag and discover other Instagram posts under the same hashtag. Pretty cool, right?<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>Eraser Brush
\n<\/strong>Get your creative juices flowing with the new eraser brush! You’ll be able to access it the same way you use the various markers — simply tap and hold to fill the entire screen with your color of choice, then use the eraser brush and get to creatin’!<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>Rewind
\n<\/strong>If you loved Snapchat’s reverse feature or you love creating fun Boomerangs, you’ll definitely love this one. Swipe left until you see the rewind icon, tap, and hold to record a video like you normally would. The video will then automatically play back in reverse.<\/p>\n
