Setting aside time is all about intentionality, and Amy Tangerine<\/a>\u2019s art kit is the perfect way to get started. Amy knows a thing or two about getting creative (after all, she turned her hobby into a full-time job!) and she\u2019s here to offer all her sage advice about making creativity your priority.<\/p>\n

So, what should you bring to an art party?<\/strong>
\n\u201cI love the idea of a potluck art party where people bring their favorite supplies, whether it be colored pencils, water colors, wine, or markers. [It\u2019s just something fun], so don\u2019t go crazy at the art supply store because sometimes supplies can be pricey. [Plus], you don\u2019t need expensive tools to have a good time creating art.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s more to your art kit than meets the eye.<\/strong>
\n\u201cI like using the kit in quirky ways that you wouldn\u2019t expect. For example, if you\u2019re intimidated by a paint brush, simply make shapes as if you were creating a background instead of creating a masterpiece. Remember, with acrylics you can layer, so don\u2019t get hung up on it looking perfect every step of the way.<\/p>\n

Beginners have no fear!<\/strong>
\n\u201cJust relax and have fun with it! We\u2019ve got a ton of videos and ideas for you so don\u2019t feel too intimidated when you first open it up. I think people should just go for it and experiment and have fun.<\/p>\n

I was so excited when FabFitFun asked me to curate a kit and go into the development process of really making sure this kit was great for everybody. We picked out really fun, bright colors for the acrylic paints and a canvas size that\u2019s not too intimidating. The tools were really important to me so we picked my favorite size paint brush as well as the foam brush.\u201d<\/p>\n
