This week it’s all about the Roaring ’20s! With The Great Gatsby hitting theaters tomorrow, we’re in full-on flapper fandemonium (yep, it’s even worse than our first N*Sync concert). So we’re celebrating the era of debauchery with some very tasty ’20s-inspired sips!

Whether you try the “Between the Sheets” or “Olives Sidecar” from W Hotel in New York’s Union Square, or the Juice Box from Whiskey Park, or even the Gin Rickey or Highball from Polar Seltzer, we’ve found some delicious drinks that will take you back in time. So let’s protest prohibition and party like it’s 1922!

FFF- 20s Drinks 1Between the Sheets
This cocktail dates back to the roaring ’20s and was created by Harry MacElhone, head bartender at the eponymous Harry’s New York bar in Paris.

1 1/2 ounces Pierre Ferrand V.S.O.P Cognac
1 1/2 ounces Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
1 1/2 ounces Cana Brava Rum
1/2 ounce grenadine
3/4 ounce lemon juice

1. In a shaker, add all ingredients then add ice and shake well.
2. Strain into a chilled martini glass and slide grenadine down side of the glass for color and slight sweetness.

FFF- TTH- Juice BoxThe Juice Box
While Gatsby doesn’t drink, some speculate that he’s a bootlegger. Keep your consumption under wraps with this unassuming speakeasy cocktail.

1 1/2 ounces Voli Orange Vanilla
2 ounces lemonade
1/2 ounce agave nectar
1/2 ounce pineapple juice

In a mixing glass, add all ingredients and shake over ice. Strain into rocks glass over ice. Garnish with orange wheel.

FFF- 20s Drinks Gin RickeyThe Gin Rickey
Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s favorite drink, this updated version sparkles.

2 ounces gin
1 ounces lime juice
Polar Mint Mojito Seltzer
lime wedges

Fill a glass with ice. Squeeze fresh lime over ice. Pour in gin, top with Polar Mint Mojito seltzer, and stir gently. Garnish with lime.

FFF-20s Drinks 2Olives Sidecar
Not as straightforward as the original, but this version does just the trick. We prefer Brenne, French single-malt whiskey, to the standard cognac or bourbon, and add a touch of grenadine for looks, flavor, and fun.

2 ounces Brenne
1 ounce Pierre Ferrand
1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce grenadine
lemon twist

1. In a shaker, add all ingredients then add ice and shake well.
2. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

FFF- 20s Drinks HighballHighball
Polar seltzer dates back to 1882, plenty of time for our great-grandfather to perfect his highball.

1 ounce whiskey
2 ounces Polar Seltzer, chilled

In a tall glass filled with quality ice, add the booze then the seltzer. Swirl. And then, lean into a good conversation.
