Another year, another Met Gala.
Celebs and fashion icons walked the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute to show off their most fashion-forward looks in conjunction with the theme: Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, in honor of Japanese designer and founder of Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo.
She’s known for pushing boundaries in the fashion world — and last night was no exception as we saw some of the most daring yet elegant gowns. You know the drill…from a bedazzled pantsuit to a parrot gown, we’ve put the spotlight on 10 of our favorite looks from the party of the year.
Gigi Hadid
It’s easy for a nude dress to go unnoticed, but not with this one. Hadid totally slayed in a satin and mesh gown by Tommy Hilfiger with black thigh highs and classic pumps. The unique silhouette gives this one an A-plus in our books!
Halle Berry
Berry looks confident and sexy as she flawlessly pulls off this see-through Versace gown. The train reminds us of flower petals as it flares down into the most stunning train.
Lily-Rose Depp
Depp rocks a hot pink Chanel number in a timeless strapless silhouette. The minimal flowers on her chest and shoulders transform a seemingly plain piece, making this one of our absolute faves.
Rihanna
A round-up of the Met Gala’s best looks isn’t complete without the reigning queen, Rihanna. Only she can show up dressed up like a flower by Comme des Garçons and completely steal the show. Whether you love it or you hate it, she sure knows how to turn heads.
Blake Lively
Spotted at the steps of the Met Gala, golden girl in a golden Atelier Versace gown looking as gorgeous as ever. Lively gave Gossip Girl fans a throwback to her cotillion dress with this beautiful gold number. The blue feathering on the train makes her stand out in a sea of fashion forward celebs.
Zendaya
This Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda ballgown takes a wacky turn with parrots printed along the skirt, but Zendaya pulls the whole look together with her teased hair and scarlet red lips. If this isn’t avant-garde, we don’t know what is!
Selena Gomez
The IG queen walked the red carpet with a bold pink makeup look and her beau by her side. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her silky lace Coach gown with hand sewn details for a cute touch.
Kylie Jenner
Jenner showed off her figure in a sheer pale pink Versace number embellished with gold flowers. She combined the fishnet and fringe trend for a look to remember.
Cara Delevingne
There’s no rule that you need to wear a gown to a red carpet event. Delevingne looks just as good (maybe even better) in a bejeweled Chanel pantsuit as she sported a completely silver-inspired look.
Stella Maxwell
The Victoria’s Secret Angel showed some skin with a plunging neckline and open back. Her white custom H&M number was adorned with pearls for a glamorous look that we can’t get enough of.
