Years after reading The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, not to mention rewatching the novel-turned-film at every girls’ night in, Blue Spruce Productions (which also produced the musicals Mean Girls and The Book of Mormon) announced that the beloved story is coming to life in the form of a live stage musical.
The story follows four BFFs who find a pair of jeans that fits each of their body types perfectly. In an effort to keep in touch during their first summer apart, the girls take turns wearing the pants, making sure to jot down their experiences before sending them off to the next friend.
There’s no word yet on the release date, but if the musical is anything like the novel and films, it’s sure to be a heartwarming hit.
