Is it possible to love Sephora anymore than we already do? After learning about their new Accelerate Program, the answer is yes.

The new program is part of the Sephora Stands initiative, which was founded in order to help give women entrepreneurs the proper resources to launch a successful business. To put this in current perspective, the company noted that approximately “85% of capital funded start-ups are led exclusively by men.” Shocking, right?

The Sephora Accelerate program begins with a one-week business boot camp in San Francisco this spring where the brand will help the founders with their business models, growth plan, market analysis, and funding strategy to ensure they’re fully prepared for Demo Day in the fall.

“Even in the beauty industry, where most customers are women, female founders are still underrepresented,” stated Corrie Conrad, Head of Social Impact at Sephora. “We saw a unique opportunity to draw from our history of working with beauty entrepreneurs to build a supportive community for women who are in the early stages of developing their businesses.”

Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and reside in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Brazil (countries where Sephora Americas operates). Beauty companies must also be on the startup level, meaning in the early stages vs. a full-blown retail brand. And obviously super passionate about beauty and social impact.

What’s in it for the winners? Mentorship from Sephora executives, monthly design support from Sephora’s design firm IDEO, two all-expense paid trips for program events, social media exposure, and a $2,500 grant. Hello, success!
