We watched her grow up in front of our eyes. She’s the epitome of the girl next door; the down-to-earth celeb we all envy yet love. We’re talking about Kristin Cavallari of course! From The Hills to Dancing with the Stars, this carefree California bombshell tells it like it is, always brings the fun, and is never at a loss for words (she was the reason we were obsessed with Laguna Beach).

Newly re-engaged to Chicago Bears hottie Jay Cutler, we chatted with Kristin about everything from her workout routine to her upcoming jewelry line to her guilty pleasures.

You were great on Dancing with the Stars. What was the best part of being on the show?

The best part about being on DWTS was learning dances that I never would have otherwise. I had so much fun and enjoyed every moment.

Did you have much dance experience prior to the show? Any advice for beginners?

I didn’t have any dance experience prior to doing the show. Advice I would give beginners is to just have fun. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

We were huge fans of The Hills. Would you ever consider doing reality television again?

Never say never, but no plans right now to come back to reality TV. I would never do an actual reality show about my real life or relationship.

Do you still talk to any of the other Hills girls?

Yes, I keep in touch with Stephanie and Audrina.

What’s the one thing you’ve learned from being in the spotlight?

No matter what you do, you can’t please everyone. That is universal for everyone though. Some people will like you and some people won’t. It’s just life.

Do you have any new year’s resolutions?

My new year’s resolution is always to stop swearing and it never works.

We love the “California casual” style you’ve got going on. Where are some of your favorite places to shop?

I love Intermix and Planet Blue.

What’s your favorite “now” fashion trend?

I don’t even know what the latest trends are to be honest. I just love fall/winter fashion because of boots and lots of layers.

Obviously you have an amazing body. What is your typical workout regimen?

Thank you! I work out with my trainer, John Damon, two to three times a week doing light weights and I try to do cardio or hike one to two times a week.

Do you have any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for?

I’m currently about to start a jewelry line and I’m in the middle of working on a reality show that I’m producing with Fremantle (the production company behind American Idol and some of the biggest shows on TV). I can’t give away what it’s about just yet, but I’m very excited about it!

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

I love hummus with carrots and celery sticks. I also always keep a protein bar in my purse in case I get hungry.

What is one food you wish had zero calories?

I wish all Mexican food had zero calories!

What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without?

I can’t live without mascara.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Who is your celebrity crush (besides Jay, of course)? We won’t tell…OK we will…but tell us anyway?

I honestly don’t have a celebrity crush.

What’s your favorite way to relieve stress?

I like to get a massage or take a bath to relieve stress. Turning my phone on silent always helps as well.

Who do you most look up to and why? How has this person inspired you?

I really respect my dad and look up to him. He’s always encouraged me to do the best I can at whatever it is I’m doing.
