Singing out loud for all to hear is the best way to spread Christmas cheer — and so is making boozy holiday drinks.
The season isn’t complete without a few signature drinks, so we created three
deliciously boozy recipes to serve at your next party. They’re simple, yummy, and easy to make, so you can spend less time whipping and more time sipping.
Peppy Peppermint Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon sugar
3 cups whole milk
4 ounces peppermint bark vodka
Whipped cream
Cinnamon powder
Directions
1. In medium saucepan, stir cocoa, milk, and sugar over medium heat until mixture is hot
2. Add vodka to mixture and stir until well-blended
3. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle cinnamon powder
ScRUMptious Apple Cider
Ingredients
4 cups pure apple juice
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 orange peel
1 apple, diced
3 ounces rum
Directions
1. In medium pot, heat apple juice and add cinnamon sticks, cinnamon, nutmeg, diced apples, and orange peel
2. Simmer mixture until flavors have blended (about 30 minutes)
3. Remove from heat and stir rum into mixture
4. Add cinnamon stick and sliced apple as garnish
Eggsquisite Eggnog
Ingredients
4 egg yolks
1 cup milk
1 cup cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup rum
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup sugar
Whipped cream
Directions
1. In medium saucepan, combine milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract, then simmer on medium heat until mixture comes to low boil
2. In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar and whisk until fluffy
3. Add milk mixture to egg mixture, mix well, pour back into saucepan, and cook until thick
4. Let cool at room temperature, then stir in cream and rum
5. Refrigerate overnight and add nutmeg and cinnamon
6. Top with whipped cream and add cinnamon stick as garnish
