Are we the only ones feeling a bit sluggish after our Thanksgiving indulgences?! After spending the entire weekend eating turkey dinner leftovers (not excluding pie for breakfast), we needed a way to transition back into an active and healthy lifestyle.

By starting our mornings with a fruity açaí bowl, we were able to smoothly get back into a healthy-eating routine again! Açaí berries are found in South and Central America, and you can tell by their intense purple hue that they are loaded with antioxidants. These purple berries are also packed with omega-3 fatty acids, making this bowl the ideal nutritious breakfast to get your day started!

Açaí Bowl Recipe

Ingredients:
8 ounces of frozen, unsweetened açaí puree
1 tablespoon agave nectar
1 banana
1/4 cup blueberries

For topping:
1/4 banana, sliced
1 teaspoon bee pollen
1 teaspoon chia seeds
goji berries
raspberries
coconut flakes

Directions:
1. In a blender, add the açaí puree, agave, banana, and blueberries, and blend until smooth. Pour the puree into a bowl.
2. Add all topping ingredients to the bowl, and serve immediately before melting.
