Once upon a time, E! News anchor Giuliana DePandi interviewed The Apprentice winner Bill Rancic. Sparks flew, hearts swooned and the charming Apprentice quickly won the heart of the beautiful E princess.
The couple fell in love, got married and settled down in Chicago and L.A.! Their geographically challenged relationship soon became the subject of the uber-popular reality show, Giuliana and Bill.
Their intimate, funny and touching reality series follows the loveable newlyweds as they struggle to juggle high-profile careers and a long distance marriage. The surprisingly normal couple quickly showed America that ‘Opposites Attract’ is more than just a Paula Abdul song. Although the messy, yoga-loving LA resident may occasionally argue with her practical, neat freak, Chicago-based hubby, the wise cracking couple know how to make it work.
Throughout the first 2 seasons the always-on-the-go couple logged Up in the Air-esque miles, established homes in Chicago and LA, blended friends and families, and carved out bits of romantic time.
G and B also penned their first book together, I Do, Now What?: Secrets, Stories, and Advice from a Madly-in-Love Couple – a refreshingly honest look at the first years of marriage. Meanwhile Giuliana launched FabFitFun, a free daily newsletter that covers the latest and greatest in fitness, beauty, diet and wellness. The optimistic, cutting edge and often funny site is all about instilling confidence, strengthening relationships and feeling good.
With Giuliana’s career flourishing on E! News and E!’s Fashion Police and Bill’s success as a renowned motivational speaker, they decided they were ready to start a family.
Their normally light-hearted reality show takes a more serious tone as the couple began to struggle with infertility.
In season 3 the busy couple is delighted to find out news of their pregnancy. Unfortunately, their joy is short lived when Giuliana suffers a heartbreaking miscarriage, putting the couple’s commitment and love for each other to the ultimate test.
In an effort to reestablish normalcy, the duo embark on a road trip in a massive RV. Although the healing process is long, laughter proves to be a much needed medicine with funny but dreaded gas station bathroom breaks and quirky tourist attractions.
Of course the rollercoaster of emotions remains as they continue to deal with their devastating loss and try to figure out if they’ll give IVF another chance.
Throughout it all their unique love endures and fans will just have to wait and see what happens next.
