SUMMER 2019 BOX PARTNER
Every girl and woman deserves the chance to excel in education, but not all are lucky enough to have that opportunity. However, with organizations like Global Gift Foundation USA, more girls are being given the tools they need to succeed in school and in their careers. Why? Statistics show that when women are given equal opportunity to rise to their fullest potential, they have the power to reshape societies. This ripple effect will create stronger communities, economic growth, and healthier families.
From raising scholarship funds to empowering girls to pursue STEM careers, check out how Global Gift Foundation USA is creating equal opportunities for girls everywhere.
Girls in Action Alliance
Educating girls is investing in the future. That’s why GGF USA and Eva Longoria Foundation created the Girls in Action Alliance, which connects women and girls with the right tools and education to be the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) innovators of tomorrow. The goal is to provide all girls with equal educational opportunities despite their socioeconomic status or background.
“Powered by Her” STEM scholarship
No one deserves to miss out on a satisfactory education simply because of where they come from, which is why GGF USA started the “Powered by Her” STEM scholarship fund. It’s a community-led solution aimed at reducing the barriers that prevent girls in under-resourced communities from perusing higher education.
According to GGF USA, research indicates that girls are more interested in STEM education when they understand how they can use it to help others. With today’s biggest challenges rooted in science, technology, engineering, and math, a career in STEM connects the dots between a desire to help others and the tools to create a better society. “Each woman we equip with a STEM education will go forward and enrich the socioeconomic structure of her family, her community, and eventually our world,” says Alina Peralta, the founder and president of GGF USA.
Spreading awareness
In addition to its own scholarship programs and educational efforts, GGF USA partners with a variety of brands, ambassadors, and beneficiaries in the hopes of fundraising enough resources to create long-lasting and effective change across all platforms. A few of their most notable partners include Eva Longoria, Ricky Martin, and Maluma.
