Crimped hair played a prominent role at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. And that can only mean one thing: the iconic ’80s hairstyle is making a serious comeback this year. But before you have a freak out moment, we’ll be the first to say that it’s more modern than you’re thinking.
At Elsa Schiaparelli, models sported crimped bob looks to pair with designer’s garments, which were embroidered with foodie items like plates, lobsters, and silverware in order to match the dinner party theme. Crimped out hair and dinner parties go hand in hand, right?
At Jean Paul Gautier, several models were also touting a crimped look — but definitely more glamorous than what you used to rock in the ’80s. And something we might consider for a more formal event?
We’re not saying it’s going to become the style of the season, but we do expect to see more crimped locks popping up. Back in 2007, Chanel sent models down the runway with crimped strands and just like that, it made a comeback.
Who’s ready to relive your favorite ’80s do?
