We appreciate a good cleanse. Don’t get us wrong, we want to kill our friends who are chowing down on pizza while we sip our beet juice, but we always feel uh-mazing afterwards. Now that Valentine’s Day is over and our pints of Ben & Jerry’s are empty (along with our boxes of chocolates), we decided it’s time to give the digestive system a break.

Well…a small break. Since we are not about to go empty out our alcohol bar carts, we’re giving our happy hours a makeover. This weekend celebrate with a margarita that has some extra health benefits. Bounce Sporting Club of NYC has created a kale margarita that will take green juice to a whole new level. Just remember to pass on the tortilla chips and reach for carrot sticks with your guac.

Kale Margarita

Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces tequila
3/4 ounce agave
3/4 ounce lime
1/2 ounce kale juice
Garnish with lime

Directions
1. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth
2. Pour into a glass and garnish with a lime
