Summer is creeping upon us, and that means it’s time to hit the beach. Next time you head to the sand and sea, try these three workout moves and turn your beach trip into a sweat sesh:
- Jog along the sand. With the added instability of running on sand, your body is forced to use more muscles than if you were to run on flat pavement.
- Run through the water. Wade into the water up to waist height. Running through the water provides a lot of resistance to your run, which makes your body expend extra effort to make your way across.
- Go for a swim. Swimming is a great way to work out your entire body from head to toe. Swim out past the break of the waves, and then return back to shore for a low-impact total body workout.
