Ashley Graham holding fig 1 products

As a lifelong beauty insider, supermodel, and entrepreneur, Ashley Graham has tried nearly every beauty product around. So when she said she found a stand-out product in Fig.1, we listened closely.

Chatting with the model, mogul, and mama about all things self care, sustainability, and loving the skin you’re in, it’s easy to see why Ashley is a “dream partner” to Fig. 1.

This year you teamed up with Fig.1 as not just a partner, but an investor — what drew you to this beauty brand?

I wasn’t initially looking to start a skincare or beauty line, but I was looking for a simpler skincare routine after the birth of my twins. When I discovered Fig.1, it just made my routine so easy, since all the products work so great together. It’s all accessible, refillable, and works with all skin types and skin tones. Fig.1 is truly made up of great products that work and that I believe in!

Fig.1 products are designed for all skin types, expert-developed, refillable, science-backed, AND priced between $17-42 (core collection). How do you think that accessibility is going to make an impact in the beauty industry?

I have always been an advocate for visibility and inclusion so to have products that are designed with everyone in mind is really important to me, especially ones that are accessible and refillable. Everyone deserves accessibility to great skincare products that don’t break the bank.

This isn’t your first sustainable brand partnership. Why is sustainability so important to you?

Having kids really helped me realize how important our environmental legacy is. It is our responsibility to protect the world for this next generation.

Congratulations on welcoming twins, Roman and Malachi to your family earlier this year! What is one mom hack that has changed your life?

I make sure to wake up before the kids, so I have time for myself. Coffee, yoga, whatever I need that day!

You very much “keep it real” — was there ever a time in your life when you didn’t feel as comfortable being your authentic self?

I think every person struggles with self confidence at a point in their lives. I found that sharing mu story and what’s happening in my life with the world was a great way to connect with other people and hear their stories! After I had the twins, my body did not “bounce back” as it had done with Isaac, and it took me some time to really love and accept the new changes, but sharing my struggles on social media actually helped me slowly gain that confidence back.

You’ve been vocal about how important body positivity is to you, and most recently the journey of embracing changes post-baby (or babies). What is your advice to others working on loving the stage that they’re currently in?

My biggest advice is to remind yourself how strong your body is and to be proud of the amazing things it can do! Affirmations are so important. Continue to remind yourself of your beauty and strength. Our bodies were built to do this beautiful thing, and we should praise it every day for what it has accomplished.

You can only bring three skincare products with you on a desert island — what are they?

My three products would have to be Fig.1’s Micellar Oil Cleanser and Pro-Retinol Eye Cream, and then I’d have to bring my Supergoop Sunscreen to protect me from those rays!
