Mom and Daughter’s Amazing Paper Dress Creations
When we were little, our parents gave us a big piece of fabric and we made togas or wrap skirts. Well, Angie Keiser and her four-year-old daughter (whose nickname is Mayhem) have put us all to shame with their awesomely amazing paper doll fashion constructions on Keiser’s Instagram feed @2sisters_angie.
From Mayhem’s adorable Olympic-inspired outfit to couture-mimicking creations like Lupita Nyong’o’s red Golden Globes gown and Katy Perry’s Grammy dress, we are pretty sure Mayhem is going to win the next Project Runway found materials challenge.
Mayhem and her mom choose a different creation to construct nearly every day, and create the works with paper and tape — no scissors allowed. These projects not only make for some captivating and happiness-inducing pictures (we love the one of a happy Mayhem jumping up and down in her I Love New York dress), it’s a pretty cool mother-daughter bonding project.
What started off as an arts and craft project quickly turned into an Internet sensation. Nearly 180,000 Instagram followers tune in daily to see what creations Mayhem will concoct next. We bet some pretty awesome Oscars-inspired gowns are to follow. We’re sure to see Mayhem in Paper Marchesa, Paper Christian Dior (we’re looking at you, Jennifer Lawrence) and Paper Tom Ford. Soon, designers will probably look to her for the trends.
