A cocktail that’s chock-full of antioxidants and antibacterial properties definitely sounds too good to be true. (Then again, so did Magic Mike II, which is supposedly in the works.)

So go ahead and pinch yourselves, you aren’t dreaming, the Thai and Purple Basil Mojito not only exists, but it can be (gasp) good for you! Venice, California’s Willie Jane, a seasonal restaurant paying homage to the south, has a strong focus on fresh ingredients, and even has its own cook’s garden located next to the restaurant.

Bar manager Phuong Tran was inspired by the abundance of purple basil growing in the garden and decided to incorporate it into a handcrafted cocktail, which led to the creation of the Thai & Purple Basil Mojito. Buy some basil at your local farmers market and you can whip up this refreshing drink at home!

Thai & Purple Basil Mojito

5 leaves of purple basil
2 ounces of rum
1 ounce of lime juice
1 ounce of lemon juice

1. Muddle 5 leaves of purple basil
2. Add rum, lime juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup
3. Stir ingredients together
4. Serve in tall Collins glass
5. Garnish with sprig of basil
