Los Angeles: Thanksgiving Meals Delivered and Pick Up

Thanksgiving Cheats

Mmmm…Thanksgiving. We love a holiday filled with family, oh-so-tasty comfort food, and after-dinner naps. But the thought of spending an entire day in the kitchen — or longer — prepping and cooking is enough to make us consider moving to Canada.

However, don’t pack your bags just yet; one of the many great things about living in LA is the vast number of top-notch restaurants and markets, many of which offer Thanksgiving catering and to-go orders. So put your apron back in the closet, pick up the phone, and trust your T-Day spread to one of these local eateries:

1751 Ensley Ave., Century City
Popular Westside neighborhood cafe Clementine has quite the spread to put out: homemade dips like romesco, caramelized onion, pimento cheese and sun-dried tomato, crostini, and spiced nuts. For a creative dessert, pick up their cranberry-apple crisp or harvest bread pudding.

Joan’s on Third
8350 W. Third St.
This prepared food emporium has a Thanksgiving menu bursting with options: savory sides like maple brown sugar yams, corn pudding and cauliflower gratin with pearl onions and gruyere, vegetable soups, and inventive desserts including pumpkin roulade with ginger buttercream.

1014 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica
Huckleberry prepares their turkey in more ways than one! Those wanting something different can try their free-range turkey meatballs or turkey pot pie. Add on sides like sautéed kale with garlic confit, quinoa cakes, and spinach and gruyere bread pudding. For those wanting to give their oven just a bit of a workout, they offer take and bake coffee cake and apple cinnamon pie (complete with Pyrex baking dish).

Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop
Locations in Beverly Hills, Century City, and Costa Mesa
The salad gurus at this veggie-filled wonderland are obviously serving up a range of salads (such as roasted cauliflower and pomegranate), but other menu items include baked ham with grilled pineapple and red jalapeño garnish, turkey lasagna, mini rosemary and pine nut cornbread muffins, and pumpkin cupcakes.

Bristol Farms
Multiple locations
Gourmet grocer Bristol Farms offers multiple stuffing options including old-fashioned traditional, sun-dried cherry pistachio, and cornbread. Other highlights include yam soufflé, butternut squash risotto, and French brandy cranberry chutney. For adventurous eaters, there’s a Cajun-style stuffed turducken.
