Rock ’n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon

After your all day munch-fest, a rock ‘n’ roll half- or mini-marathon benefiting the ASPCA might be just the thing you need to work off those calories. Local bands will energize you as you run the course in your Halloween costume and head toward the party at the finish line. For a less intense experience, try the one-mile dog walk you can do with your furry friend!

American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure Women’s Series

Leadbetter Beach, Santa Barbara

If you’re looking for great views, good company, and an awesome cause, spend the day up north participating in the this cycling event to fight diabetes. You can sign up now and join the ride, or pick a spot along the route and cheer on the athletes. Want to ride but not ready for the 67-mile trip? Try the eight-mile route and reward yourself with the post-ride barbecue party.

LA Sriracha Festival

Spice lovers, rejoice! This weekend, LA plays host to the first and only Sriracha festival in the country. Big name chefs from local eateries like The Foundry, BLD, and Short Order will be cooking up steamy dishes featuring our favorite Asian hot sauce. And they’re topping it all off with Sriracha-filled cocktails! Yum!

Ballaboosta Pop-Up Dinner

Urban Radish, 661 Imperial St., Downtown

Spots are filling up fast for this pop-up dinner by Israeli chef Einat Admony. Get your tickets ASAP and enjoy chicken with pomegranate and walnuts, tangy tabbouleh salad, and herbed meat kebabs with roasted pepper tahini. If you miss out on the dinner, you can always pick up her new cookbook, Balaboosta, and try to make the meal yourself!
