Thurs. May 9-Fri. May 10, 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
One Pico, 1 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica
Get your drink on for free this week at Shutters on the Beach! To celebrate their new lunch and dinner menus, the beachside hot spot will give you a select glass of wine with your meal. All you have to do is mention “Blue By The Sea” and your sweet sip is free!
Fri. May 10, noon-3 p.m.
Santa Monica Pier, 200 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica
This fab event takes your workout from the gym to the beach! You’ll be able to try out classes from Cycle House, Exhale Yoga, and LA DanceFit Zumba. The afternoon will also include mini spa treatments and BluePrint Cleanse samples! All of this while relaxing at the beach? Sounds like a perfect way to welcome the weekend!
Sat. May 11, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
The Studio (MDR), 330 Washington Blvd. Unit B, Marina del Rey
Carbon38 and MDR are hosting a daylong trunk show with lots of options for classes and merchandise deals! This event will have you sweating in style with bod-tightening Pilates classes, shopping, and even refreshments! Sounds like a great way to kick your summer workout routine into high (fashion) gear.
Sat. May 11, 2 p.m.

Spice up your everyday meals! Join the executive chef of RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen to learn to create delicious Southeast Asian dishes.
Sat. May 11, 5:30 p.m.

LA is full of foodies who love movies! This event caters to both of those groups. The first installment of this summerlong series features a screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark and music from soulful rock band Nightmare & the Cat! Now that’s entertainment!
Sun. May 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Comme Ça, 8479 Melrose Ave., West Hollywood
Chef David Myers has created the perfect brunch to treat your mother like a queen this year! Grab the fam and sample sweet or savory bites like Lobster Benedict and Blueberry Stuffed French Toast. Finally, toast to mom with a Her Royal Highness (champagne, berries, and mint) cocktail to show her just how much you love her!
Sun. May 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Hotel Bel-Air, 701 Stone Canyon Road, Bel-Air
Your mom has cooked for you so many times (even if it was just PB&J), why not treat her to an A-list feast this Mother’s Day? Each station at this brunch will feature exciting bites including local farmers market fare, a carving station, eggs and waffles, and even a children’s buffet. Finish off this homage to mama with a decadent dessert (or several) and you’ll both be feeling pretty sweet.
Sun. May 12, various seating times
The Ritz-Carlton, 900 W. Olympic Blvd., Downtown
This Mother’s Day tea party is anything but mad! Featuring housemade pastries, tea sandwiches, and delish tea blends from Los Angeles-based tea importer Art of Tea, you and your mom can enjoy a quaint afternoon to celebrate everything you love about her. The venue also features a panoramic view of Los Angeles, so be sure to bring your camera and snap a few pics to commemorate your day with mom!
