Your guide to fab fake lashes
So you’re not exactly a long lost Kardashian sister when it comes to the lashes department. Us too! No sweat. For those of us who need that extra va-va-voom in our lashes, faking it never made more sense. Falsies can up your game, and we spoke to Velour lashes co-founder Angela Tran to get the 411 on how to wear fake lashes.
The band matters: The type, thickness, and material of the band make a difference. Look for a lash band that’s both durable and flexible for easy application.
It’s not one style fits all: Lashes come in all styles, so select one that not only suits your eye but the look you’re going for. Whether it’s a cat eye or natural look, choose a style that helps you achieve your desired look.
Practice makes perfect: Yup, practice counts. “Try to put the lashes as close as your lash line as possible and use a good glue,” Angela said.
Reuse and reapply: It depends on the quality of your lashes, but your average synthetic lashes can be worn 3-5 times. Velour lashes are 100% mink and can be used up to 25 times.
Remove with care: Remove your lashes with care so you can reuse them in the near future! Dab a Q-tip in makeup remover to help loosen the lashes first. Use your fingers and gently peel from the outer corner to the inner corner.
