Fit Tip Friday: Health Laws Explained
The founder of cibo verde gives us the slim-down scoop
Sure, you may have heard that you should sleep at least seven hours a night, never skip breakfast, and go organic…but do you know why? No, it’s not because you’ll become a total raging lunatic if you don’t (though that might happen!)
We got the scoop behind the common fitness and health tips from lifestyle expert and celebrity trainer, Paolo Mascitti, who has helped get stars like Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, and Justin Bartha in red carpet-ready shape!
The super fit trainer is the founder of cibo verde, a meal delivery system that caters to customers’ body calculations to help them reach their weight goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Here’s what he had to say on the reasoning behind oft-touted fit tips.
1. Sleep at least 7 hours each night
A good night’s sleep lowers your stress, sharpens your memory, and reduces cravings for unhealthy food.
2. Choose colorful fruit and veggies
They are packed with flavonoids and carotenoids — powerful compounds against inflammation and free radicals.
2. Don’t skip breakfast
A lot of people think they end up saving calories if they avoid breakfast but what they don’t realize that they usually over-eat later because your body is starved and trying to over-compensate for starvation mode.
4. Choose healthy carbs
Whole grains, beans, fruit and vegetables are digested slowly, helping you feel full longer and keeping blood sugar and insulin level stable.
5. Go organic
Eating organic not only protects you from harmful pesticides and other chemicals, it provides you with more nutrients in every bite.
