White-Hot Winter Fashion
Speaking of hot…Reed Krakoff, Valentino, and Yigal Azrouël winter runway shows.
Number One rule of fashion: There are no rules. Wear a black dress with brown shoes, pair leopard with flannel and/or polka dots, wear white in winter…really! This just in: White is a color that can now be worn year round. Forget the world you once knew where white after Labor Day was unacceptable.
Fashion has evolved, and so should your wardrobe. I love winter white simply for the fact that it brightens any outfit, especially the ones that are usually so cold and dark, as winter items tend to be.
Don’t think you can manage to wear white without spilling something on yourself? Have no fear, just accent your outfit with white accessories, you clumsy betch! Those are a much less-likely target for stains, all the while keeping your winter wardrobe on trend. Below are some of my winter white picks to try this season. Happy shopping!
The J. Crew Double-cloth lady day coat offers a feminine, flattering silhouette, a trendy color that pops, and comes with Thinsulate to keep you super warm!
Diane Von Furstenberg lace dress is sexy and elegant. Perfect for holiday parties, the whole season, or a hot date. Hubba, hubba!
Michael Kors Wide-Leg Wool Pants for a cozy yet chic and trendy appearance. Great for work and looking fine in general.
Dorothy Perkins peplum top equals two trends in one! I love peplum in general— such a flattering style! The ruffle hides your stomach so you can eat (and drink) what you want.
And for those of us who are clumsy and don’t trust themselves wearing white, accent with white accessories, such as a Halogen “Carryover Scarf,” Mango leather gloves, Michael Kors large Dylan watch, or an American Apparel clutch.
