The runway’s prettiest hair and makeup looks

Christian Siriano at New York Fashion Week

We’re used to seeing insane looking hair and makeup on models during Fashion Week. That’s just a given. But we’ve noticed some awesome everyday looks this Fashion Week that have us excited for spring already. The best part? They’re all super easy to do at home. From sultry cherry red lips to Frida Kahlo-inspired braids, check out our five favorite looks. Start practicing now, as they’ll be all the rage come next spring.

To complement Christian Siriano’s vibrantly colored collection, Polly Osmond for Hourglass developed a makeup look that had a beachy feel but super sultry. Her goal was to create a look that mimicked how your skin would look during a tropical sunset.

The hair look at Jason Wu was nothing short of chic. Odile Gilbert for Kerastase Paris drew inspiration from iconic photographer Helmut Newton in order to create this sleek, blunt ponytail. The look was polished off with a gold barrette.

    Monique Lhuillier
Val Garland, lead makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics, created a gorgeous minimal makeup look on models at Monique Lhuillier. The face was kept super natural and clean, but she topped off the look with a bright cherry red lip using a soon-to-be-released MAC Huggable Lip Color in Cherry Glaze topped with MAC Pigment Base in Red.

Odile Gilbert for Kerastae Paris chose a sensual but textured hairstyle to compliment Thakoon’s Spring 2014 collection, which was meant to look both unkempt and sexy. We’re stoked for spring, as this is a look we can’t wait to try out on our own hair.

    20130909-Rebecca-Minkoff

    Rebecca Minkoff
Rebecca Minkoff’s collection was inspired by an old photo of Bianca Jagger in Mexico and Frida Kahlo, which was chock full of bold prints and embroidery. To complement the look, TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu created a modern updo based on Bianca and Frida’s iconic braids.
