Push Through the Wall
We’ve all promised ourselves a glass (or two) of wine as a reward for a hard workout. We do it because it works. And because there’s no way we’re going to the gym during the first week of January unless we’re getting some immediate gratification. Where did all of these people come from anyway?

Shamrock Shuffle 8k
Sun. April 7
This 4.97-mile race is perfect for any runner looking to upgrade from a 5k. There’s also an incredible Health & Fitness Expo before the big day, featuring the best footwear, apparel, nutrition, and technology companies in the running world.
Soldier Field 10 Mile
Sat. May 25
Kick off Memorial Day weekend on the Bears’ home turf. Seriously. This 10-mile race finishes on the 50-yard line in the middle of Soldier Field. And don’t forget about the post-race party, shiny medal, personalized bib number, and Nike tech-tee you’ll receive. Is that all?
Rock ’n’ Roll Half Marathon
Sun. July 21
You won’t even need your iPod during this 13.1-mile race. We promise. This annual half marathon features live bands lining the lakefront course, a killer post-race party, and some of the best finishers’ medals we’ve seen.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Sun. Oct. 13
This is the big daddy of them all. 26.2 miles. If you’ve always dreamed of running a marathon, we can’t recommend one more than our own hometown version. The Chicago Marathon is flat, fast, and packed with an amazing crowd. Sign up on Feb. 19 if you’re ready for the ultimate challenge.
